CPD VISIT : YORK HANDMADE BRICK FACTORY - AUGUST 2010
As part of our CPD (Continual Professional Development) and staff training commitment, W R Dunn & Co Ltd. undertook a site visit to the York Handmade Brick Factory in Alne, near York. The afternoon demonstrated the history of brickmaking and explored the advantages of using tradtional techniques, particularly for conservation and repair projects.
As Architects and Building Surveyors it is critical to particpate in CPD events to maintain a knowledge and awareness of current trends, products and regulations in the construction industry. W R Dunn & Co Ltd. routinely offer an in-house CPD seminar on a monthly basis which is co-ordinated by the Architectural Director, Hunter Hardy.
