OFF-GRID BARN CONVERSION COMPLETE - OCTOBER 2011
The conversion works at Silver Hill Farm have now been successfully completed, and this stunning conversion is now occupied by one of the estate staff in accordance with the Planning Approval. The project was a 12 month contract carried out by Biker Contracts of Leyburn and project managed by W R Dunn & Co Ltd. The off-grid Powerguard CHP (Combined Heat and Power) plant is up and running providing both power and heating to the property. Constant adjustments are made to the computer programme running the installation to provide optimum output. This development has ensured the longevity of a historic structure and provided ‘on-site’ accommodation for staff associated with the management of the land.
