YORK MINSTER STONE YARD AND EAST FRONT TOUR - NOVEMBER 2011
W R Dunn & Co Ltd. invited key guests from The Church of England, Interserve Construction, F Parkinson Ltd., Shepherd Construction, George F White, The Landscape Agency and Murton Grange Ltd. to a tour of the York Minster Stone Yard and East Front. The tour (which had been booked nearly a year in advance) is offered on a strictly limited basis and allows behind the scenes access to the stone masons and craftsmen who are continually working on the repair, restoration and conservation of this iconic Grade I Listed Minster.
The East Front is currently undergoing a £multi-million restoration and involves craftsmanship of the highest detail and quality. The East Front tour provided spectacular views and a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity to experience the impact the building has on York and its surroundings.
