So it’s our 30th anniversary since founders, Richard and Deborah Dunn, established the practice in 1986. We’re pretty chuffed at what we’ve accomplished and it was great to celebrate with so many of our clients and team at The York Theatre Royal. But that’s not all, our anniversary marks the start of two new directorship appointments to the practice.
Chartered Building Surveyor, Ian Smith and Chartered Architect, Martin Smith, will now be at the helm of the practice, to help drive the business forward for the next thirty, with a clear focus on WR Dunn’s three pillars of expertise: Architecture, Building Surveying and Conservation.
Established in 1986, by Richard and his late wife Deborah, the duo created an award winning multidisciplinary practice and over the past thirty years we’ve got to work with some amazing clients, from Harewood House, Bishopthorpe Palace, Lancaster Castle, HMP Holme House, Ripley Castle, Bradford City Hall, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and York Theatre Royal.
We want to say thank you to every single one of our clients, we wouldn’t be where we are without your support and confidence in our work.
The success of the practice is largely thanks to Richard and Deborah’s commitment to the firm, team and providing our clients with an outstanding level of service. So the whole team would like to say a huge thank you to Richard for everything he has done for the firm, and we only wish Deborah was here to celebrate with us.
After three decades of leading the team, Richard will now become our Head of Conservation focusing on his passion and commitment to the maintenance and restoration of historic buildings across the UK.
Here’s to the next thirty!
